DJ Avicii's house in West Hollywood CA needs attention

Back in November 2013, world famous DJ Avicii purchased this incredible West Hollywood home for $15,550,000. Everything was going smoothly until Dec. 12, 2016 when a subcontractor based in Covina, CA named Unique Colours, filed a mechanics' lien with Los Angeles County against Avicii's home (which was purchased through a trust known as The Batcave Trust) according to public records. Apparently this type of lien can be filed when the contractor is owed money and looks to the property for payment, even if the property owner already paid the main contractor in full. Soon after in early January 2017, luxury custom home builder Gallo Homes, Inc,also filed a mechanics' lien with Los Angeles County against The Batcave Trust, according to public records

To further highlight the payment drama, Bancroft's Construction, a management and general contracting service, filed a notice action against Gallo Homes and The Batcave Trust. So many unresolved contractor issues in such a short period of time is unusual, so further research was warranted and it was determined that Avicii has been overseas for several months (Tuscany, Italy to be exact), where he is building a recording studio. It seems very likely that these issues will be resolved when he can return to the U.S. Hopefully soon because typically the court house is the next step. allo
