Kara DioGuardi's house in Maine
Not long after purchasing her luxury home in the state of Maine Kara DioGuardi quietly said goodbye to the Big Apple with the sale of her luxury condo in the Chelsea neighborhood for $2,193,000. Located in the 12-story Campiello Collection, the famed songwriter's now former seventh floor unit which she purchased in 2003 has three bedrooms, two full bedrooms and one half, 2,002 square feet and offers European-style fixtures, kitchen island with a breakfast bar and a 60-bottle wine cellar, spa-sized baths with marble & mosaic tiles, maple hardwood floors, and over-sized windows. The condo had an original asking price of $2,450,000.

The stealthy NYC departure is more than likely due to the property ownership being tranferred to a LLC that the former American Idol judge created in 2008.
Kara DioGuardi married building contractor Mike McCuddy in mid-2009. The couple met while he was working on a home near her home in Gouldsboro, Maine's Prospect Harbor that she purchased in 2004.
According to property records, in 2010 the couple purchased a Maine residence for $1.2 Million much further down the coast from Prospect Harbor in York, which near Kennebunkport. MLS listings published at the time state that the 6,000+ square foot Victorian-stlye home (pictured below) is the ultimate in coastal living.

As of June 2, 2019 there is one home for sale near the DioGuardi mansion in York. A 3-bed, 3-bath, 1,924 square-foot home at 75 Seabury Road is selling for $449,000. The home was listed for sale on May 9, 2019.
Back in 2013, the hit song creator sold her home in Studio City, CA for $6.3 million.
