Retired Baltimore Orioles All Star second baseman Brian Roberts became well aquainted with the Sarasota, Florida area while in the minor leagues where he played for the Gulf Coast League Orioles who play their games at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota. Soon after the Orioles decided to move their Major League spring training home to Ed Smith Stadium in 2010, Brian Roberts purchased a home in this scenic Florida Gulf Coast city. Built in 1977, Brian Roberts paid $1,250,000 for his British West Indies style waterfront home which has four bedrooms, three full baths and one half, balcony/sun deck, detached in-law apartment, swimming pool and 3,764 square feet.
