The Blackening Summary
The Blackening is a horror film that challenges the pervasive trope of the African-American character being the first to die in horror movies. The story follows a group of close-knit Black friends who venture into a secluded cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway. But their trip takes a deadly turn when a masked killer emerges, demanding that they rank their degrees of blackness to determine the order in which they will be killed.
