Based On A True Story Summary
Based on a True Story is a dark comedic thriller that follows the lives of Ava Bartlett, a realtor and true crime enthusiast, her husband Nathan Bartlett, a former tennis star, and their friend Matt Pierce, a plumber. The trio seizes an opportunity to capitalize on America’s fascination with true crime when Ava witnesses a potential murder in her neighborhood. She convinces Nathan to start a true crime podcast where they’ll attempt to solve the case themselves, with the help of Matt who is also a fan of the genre.

Kaley Cuoco will also star in an upcoming thriller film titled Role Play about a married couple whose lives unravel when secrets are revealed about their pasts. David Oyelowo, Bill Nighy, and Connie Nielsen co-star. A release date for the film has not been set at this time.
