In early November 2010 former Major League Baseball outfielder Ron Roenicke became the manager of the Milwaukee Brewers. Roenicke made some other big moves in 2010 with the purchase of a home in San Clemente, California. The new Brew Crew skipper paid $1,112,000 for a two-bed, three-bath home which boasts panoramic views of the ocean, mountains, and the city.

As a player Ron Roenicke made his Major League debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Roenicke has also played for the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, and the Cincinnati Reds. While with the Padres Roenicke played in 1984 World Series against the Detroit Tigers.
