Actress Natasha Richardson (May 11, 1963 - March 18, 2009) was born in London and was the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and director and producer Tony Richardson. Natasha Richardson married actor Liam Neeson on July 3, 1994. Just a few weeks prior to the wedding, the couple purchased a 37-acre estate just outside of Millbrook, New York. This was the couple's primary home at the time of her death.

The estate includes a swimming pool, courtyard, tennis court, and has a current value of $3,708,000. In August of 2004 the couple purchased an additional 16 acres next to the estate.
On March 16, 2009 while taking a skiing lesson at the Mont Tremblant Resort in Quebec, Canada, Richardson sustained a head injury after a fall. On March 17, she was transferred to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where she died on March 18.
