Famed broadcast journalist Diane Sawyer married film director Mike Nichols in 1988. In 1995 the couple purchased a home in the town of Tisbury, Massachusetts on Martha's Vineyard for $5.3 million.
Set on 17.5 acres, the home is 4,855 sqaure feet, offering three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, screen porch, patio, wood deck, in-ground swimming pool, pergola, and a tennis court.

There is also a guest cottage with a loft that requires a latter for access. The previous owner was fiction novelist Leslie Glass, who paid a mere $500,000 for the property in 1989. Leslie Glass currently resides on another island community - Bird Key in Southwest Florida. Bird Key is also home to the late talk-show host Jerry Springer.
In October of 2020, this 704 sqft home with two bedrooms and one bathroom nextdoor to Diane Sawyer sold for $915,000.

Mike Nichols passed away in 2014 at the age of 83. Along with covering world news, Diane Sawyer also has a large list of celebrity interviews to her credit.
