Famed broadcast journalist Diane Sawyer married film director Mike Nichols in 1988. In 1995 the couple purchased a home in the town of Tisbury, Massachusetts on Martha's Vineyard for $5.3 million. The home was built in 1950 and is set on 17.5 acres.

The previous owner was fiction novelist Leslie Glass, who paid a mere $500,000 for the property in 1989. Leslie Glass currently resides on another island community - Bird Key in Southwest Florida. Bird Key is also home to talk-show host Jerry Springer.

In October of 2020, this 704 sqft home with two bedrooms and one bathroom nextdoor to Diane Sawyer sold for $915,000.
