Rae Parker leads a fascinating life as a single person, which captivates many readers who follow her monthly travel column titled "Reservation for One." But when her editor proposes sending her to the Conrad Maldives, one of the most romantic vacation spots in the world, Rae is taken aback. Despite her adventurous nature, she struggles to find the kind of experiences that would make a compelling article for her column while staying at the luxurious Muraka resort. To complicate matters, Rae is terrified of the open ocean and the fact that the hotel is floating in the middle of it adds to her anxiety.
