Lebron James was born December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio. By his senior year in high school, it was already evident that the 6'8" James was ready for big league basketball. James was drafted by the National Basketball Association's Cleveland Cavaliers straight out of high school in 2003. He was named 2003-2004 NBA Rookie of the Year - the youngest player to ever receive the award.
By his 20th birthday, James had already secured numerous lucrative corporate endorsements, including Coca Cola, Nike, and Bubblelicious bubble gum.
Being signed by the Cavaliers also meant that he wouldn't have to relocate. Construction of a mansion on property he purchased in Bath, Ohio back in October of 2003 is near completion. When finished the home on 4.6 acres will offer over 35,000 square feet and be worth over $10 million. A more modest home had occuppied the land previously but was soon leveled after the purchase to make way for the mansion. That home was a 2-story colonial, which boasted 8 full bathrooms and 4 half, 3 fireplaces, in-ground swimming pool, 15,221 square feet and was valued at approximately $2.2 million.

Lebron also purchased another Bath home in June 2006 on 1.5 acres, for $425,000, and another home in nearby Wadsworth on just over 2 acres for close to $600,000 in November 2005. No word yet on what Lebron is planning to do with these homes once the mansion is completed.
More recently, Lebron purchased a home in Las Vegas in January 2007 for nearly $1.6 million. This home offer 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, swimming pool, spa, 2 fireplaces, and over 4,200 square feet.
