Center/power forward Mehmet Okur of the Utah Jazz was born in Yalova, Turkey. Mehmet Okur started his NBA career with Detroit Pistons where he was a member of the 2004 championship team. After the 2004 season, the 6'11" Okur joined the Utah Jazz.
