Built in 1951 on just over half an acre, the $950,000 secluded retreat offers a patio, deck, hot tub, plus a vaulted wood ceiling and a wood burning fireplae in the living room.

The couple purchased the Oakland home due to Mulhern's position as Distinguished Practitioner of Law & Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Governor Granholm married Daniel Mulhern in Michigan in 1986.
