Tár Overview

Lydia Tár (Cate Blanchett) is the first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra and she is widely considered to be one of the best living composers/conductors within the international world of classical music.

Written and directed by Todd Field, Tár will have its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 1.
