Pop singer/actress Mandy Moore, whose full name is Amanda Leigh Moore, was born April 10, 1984 in Nashua, New Hampshire. Despite being born in New Hamphire, it was central Florida that Moore would consider home throughout her childhood, as she was just weeks old when her family made the move to the Orlando area.
In December 1999, and at only fifteen-years of age, Moore released her debut album So Real, which reached a peak of #31 on the US Billboard chart. Moore's sophomore album I Wanna Be With You was released in May of 2000. This album included a title track that reached #24 on the Hot 100 chart. I Wanna Be With You remains Moore's biggest single to date. Moore has also had the opportunity to prove that music isn't the only place where she makes the grade. In 2002, Moore landed her first starring role in A Walk to Remember. |
Some of Moore's more recent movies include Romance & Cigarettes (August 2005) and a future film entitled American Dreamz, where she will co-star with Dennis Quaid, Willem Dafoe and Hugh Grant.
With Hollywood continually knocking at her door, Moore had virtually no choice but to finally drop anchor on the west coast where she has settled into a $2 Million home in Los Angeles. This two-story home offers five bedrooms, five bathrooms, 4,711 square feet, a main upper-story deck that extends from the right-front side of the home and a smaller upper-story deck/patio situated more near the center. Despite living in Los Angeles, Moore certainly can't be classified as an urbanite, considering the home is found where the city essentially meets the wilderness. Moore's community offers Griffith Park which hosts the Los Angeles Zoo. Griffith Park also offers the Griffth Observatory as well as golfing, horseback riding, hiking trails and picnic areas.
