Fantasia Barrino was born June 30, 1984 in High Point, North Carolina. Fantasia became a celebrity virtually overnight as the season three winner of American Idol in 2004 (January 19 - May 26). Fantasia sung "I Believe" on the finale as her last performance of the show. After its release as a single in June of 2004, "I Believe" would go on to debut at number one.
