Carlos Boozer was born November 20, 1981, in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Before joining the NBA, Boozer played for Duke University where he helped the team win the 2001 NCAA basketball tournament championship. The Cleveland Cavaliers drafted Boozer in the second round of the 2002 NBA draft.
While in Cleveland, the 6'9" power forward called the small town of Bratenahl, Ohio home. Bratenahl is approximately seven miles northeast of Cleveland and has a population of 1,344.
After two seasons of play with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boozer signed with the Utah Jazz.
Shortly after arriving in Utah, Boozer purchased a $2 million home in Salt Lake City. This two-story home offers four bedrooms, two full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, four fireplaces, and just under 4,000 square feet.

In May of 2007, Carlos Boozer paid $7.3 million for a waterfront home in Miami, Florida. Built in 1996, the home has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, swimming pool, boat dock, balcony, and just over 7,000 square feet. Boozer sold the home in June of 2010 for $5.5 million.
Previously, Boozer owned a seven bedroom, seven bathroom, 7,356 square foot home on 60th Court in Pinecrest. He sold the home in September of 2007 for $3,150,000, after only one year of ownership.
