Originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. retired NHL defenseman Bryan McCabe joined the Florida Panthers in 2008 from the Toronto Maple Leafs. McCabe was chosen as the team captain of the Panthers after one year with the team.
Just before joining the Panthers, Bryan McCabe and his wife Roberta purchased a home in the south Florida town of Delray Beach. Built in 2001 and located in the Mizners Preserve community, Bryan McCabe paid $1,085,000 for the two-story home which has 5,326 square and includes a rear terrace and a large swimming pool.
Delray Beach has a population of approximately 65,000 and is located between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
Less than a year after the Delray Beach home purchase, Bryan McCabe and his wife went condo hunting on Florida's southwest coast. The couple settled on a three bedroom, two bathroom, 1,969 square foot oceanfront condo in Naples, Florida for $825,000 which offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico.
