Down a Dark Hall Preview

In this movie, Kit, played by AnnaSophia Robb, is a challenging young girl who is sent to the enigmatic Blackwood Boarding School because her mother cannot handle her fiery temper. Once she reaches the school, she encounters Madame Duret, an eccentric headmistress played by Uma Thurman, and meets four other female students who are also struggling. As Kit and her classmates navigate the intricate corridors of the school, they uncover an age-old paranormal secret that Blackwood Manor has been hiding. This film is based on the gothic young adult novel of the same name by Lois Duncan. Duncan's classic novel provides a solid foundation for the movie's plot, which explores the themes of coming-of-age, self-acceptance, and facing one's fears. The inclusion of paranormal elements adds an exciting twist to the story.
