Somewhere in Queens Plot

Leo Russo, played by Ray Romano, leads a simple life in Queens, New York with his wife Angela, portrayed by Laurie Metcalf, their son "Sticks" who is shy but talented at basketball, played by Jacob Ward, and his close-knit network of Italian-American relatives and friends in the neighborhood. Leo is content working with his father, Tony Lo Bianco, and younger brother, Sebastian Maniscalco, at the family construction business. However, he eagerly looks forward to Sticks' high school basketball games each week and never misses a chance to cheer on his son, who is a star athlete on the court.

When Sticks receives an unexpected opportunity to play basketball in college, Leo seizes the chance to provide him with a new path away from the family business. However, when Sticks faces sudden heartbreak, Leo goes to great lengths to keep his son on this new path.
