Naked and Afraid premiered on the Discovery Channel in 2013. The contestants are allowed to bring one personal item each, such as a knife or a fire starter. Naked and Afraid has since spawned several spin-offs, including Naked and Afraid XL, Naked and Afraid of Love, and Naked and Afraid: Alone.
