Moving On Plot

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin play two old friends who had grown apart over time. After their mutual friend passes away, they come together to take revenge on her arrogant widower, played by Malcolm McDowell. During their journey, Fonda's character also reconnects with her former lover, played by Richard Roundtree. As the story unfolds, both women learn to reconcile with their past and with each other.

Written and directed by Paul Weitz.

Over the years Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin have also starred together in other movies such as the romantic comedy-drama The Electric Horseman (1979) that also starred Robert Redford; the classic comedy film 9 to 5 (1980); and the romantic comedy Monster-in-Law (2005) that also starred Jennifer Lopez.
