Gordon Ramsay's Gnocchi Recipe Ingredients and Video

This gnocchi recipe by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is found on his official website.
  • 2 large floury potatoes
  • 90 grams of plain flour
  • 50 grams of ricotta cheese
  • 1 free-range egg
  • 1 thyme sprig using only the leaves
  • Sea salt
  • Fresh ground white pepper
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
The Sauce
  • Olive oil used for frying
  • 150 grams of peas- defrost if frozen
  • Butter
  • 1 thyme sprig using only the leaves
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Fresh ground black pepper

Rachael Ray's Gnocchi Recipe Ingredients and Video

Famed television show hostess Rachael Ray makes a gnocchi dish she calls No-Fail Gnocchi.
  • 4 large Russet potatoes, about 3 pounds
  • 1 tablespoons EVOO - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt
  • Finely ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon (a few grates) freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (divided)
  • 3 egg yolks
The Sauce
  • 1 28-ounce can of San Marzano tomatoes
  • 1 cup of chicken of vegetable stock
  • 2 tablespoons of EVOO - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic that's been crushed and chopped
  • Handful of fresh basil that's been torn
  • 1 chunk of Parmigiano-Reggiano rind

Gennaro Contaldo's Gnocchi Recipe Ingredients and Video

Gennaro Contaldo, the star chef and restaurateur from southern Italy's Amalfi Coast, makes a gnocchi called Gnocchi With Wild Rocket which is shared on the recipe section of the BBC's website (link). Gennaro has at least two distinct gnocchi dishes that I have discovered. Recipe #1 uses two eggs (among other differences) and recipe #2 uses one egg. After the ingredients list for recipe #1 you can watch Gennaro make both of these unique gnocchi dishes.
  • 700 grams/1 lb. 9 ounces of Desiree potatoes
  • Salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 free-range eggs using only the yolks
  • 150 grams/5 1/2 ounces of plain flour
  • Rice flour used for dusting
The Sauce
  • 300 grams/10 1/2 ounces of wild rocket that is roughly chopped
  • 200 grams/7 ounces of watercress roughly chopped- discard stalks
  • 150 milliliters/5 1/2 ounces of extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 small onion that is finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove that is finely chopped
  • 20 basil leaves that are roughly torn
  • 1 small red chilli that is finely chopped
  • Salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper

Giada De Laurentiis' Gnocchi Recipe Ingredients and Video

Giada De Laurentiis makes a version of gnocchi available at FoodNetwork.com here. When done, Giada places the gnocchi into a skillet that contains thyme-butter sauce.
  • 1 russet potato that weighs 1 pound
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of shaved Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of fresh ground black pepper
