Game One Facts

The first game of the 2022 NFL season for Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be a road game on September 11 against the Dallas Cowboys. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:20 p.m. ET and will air on NBC. For Todd Bowles, this will be his first game serving as Bucs head coach. Bowles joined the Bucs in 2019 as defensive coordinator and takes over for Bruce Arians who vacated the head coaching position to take a new role as senior football consultant for the Bucs.

Last season the Buccaneers played the Cowboys in game one as well, ultimately winning in a thrilling contest at home in Raymond James Stadium that went down to the wire. Brady led a drive in the final minute to put Tampa Bay in game-winning field goal position, allowing Ryan Succop to kick the winning field goal from 36 yards. In that game Brady completed 32 out of 50 passes for a total of 379 yards
