John Goodman's Metairie, Louisiana home and neighborhood profile

John Goodman, co-star of the 90's hit TV show "Roseanne" opposite Roseanne Barr, and many other notable TV and movie appearances, certainly has one of the more interesting celebrity community hide-aways. Goodman's community is located on the eastern portion of Jefferson Parish in Metairie, Louisiana. Metairie, which sits on the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain, is literally just a hop, skip and a jump to the west of New Orleans and is considered the first official suburb of New Orleans.

Meterairie is not a city, therefore does not have a local government of its own, but instead is governed by the Jefferson Parish council.

Goodman's raised platform style house was originally built in 1832 at Tchoupitoulas St. and Nashville Ave. and was moved to its present location in 1932.
