Kara DioGuardi who has penned songs for some of the biggest names in the music industry, was recently selected to be a judge on the eighth season of American Idol. DioGuardi will become the hit show's 4th judge alongside original judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and her longtime friend Paula Abdul. In her song writing and producing career, DioGuardi has worked with recording artists such as Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Ricky Martin, Pink, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Hilary Duff, Carrie Underwood, Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus, and many more. Kara DioGuardi is also Senior VP of A&R at Warner Brothers Records. In July of 2003, the native New Yorker purchased a condo at the 12-story Campiello Collection, located in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood. The Campiello Collection opened in 2003. Only two weeks after closing on the L.A. home, DioGuardi was back on the east coast with real estate on her mind, this time purchasing a vacation home in the town of Gouldsboro, Maine.
