Ellen DeGeneres joined fellow talkshow host sensation Oprah Winfrey when she purchased a home in October 2006, in Montecito, California. Ellen purchased the amazing property for just under $17 million, and after only five months Ellen has decided to put it back on the market for $24 million.
The home was originally designed by George Washington Smith in 1926 for Aurthur E. Ogilvy. Similar to Oprah's Montecito home, Ellen also acquired a large amount of land with the purchase. The home offers four acres which includes the main home - a two-story Spanish Colonial, guest home, fruit trees, swimming pool, tennis court, and a three-car garage.
Montecito has a population of approximately 10,000 and is located about 80 miles WNW of Los Angeles.
