Retired Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun won the National League Rookie of the Year Award in 2007. In May 2008, at just the age of 24, Ryan Braun signed an eight-year contract worth $45 million. One year later, the southern California native purchased a 7,587 square foot Mediterranean-style home in Malibu for $4,850,000. Built in 2003 on over an acre, the home has a four-car garage, seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and includes a movie theater, swimming pool, spa, fountain, built in BBQ, three fireplaces, and ocean views.

In his 2007 debut season when he won the National League Rookie of the Year Award, Braun had 146 hits, 97 runs batted in and 34 home runs. In 2011, Braun was the National League MVP, with 187 hits, 111 runs batted in and 33 home runs. Braun was selected to the All-Star game six times.
