On July 12, 2008 retired tennis star Michael Chang was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Two months later, Michael Chang married another tennis player, Amber Liu. In 2009, just a few days prior to their first wedding anniversary, Michael Chang purchased a home in Mission Viejo, California. Built in 1979, Chang paid $2,240,000 for the four bedroom, four bath, waterfront home which has 4,500 square feet.

The home also features a swimming pool, spa, BBQ, garden, private boat dock and all bedrooms upstairs have a private balcony.

Michael Chang is best remembered for becoming the youngest male player to win a Grand Slam singles title when he he defeated Ivan Lendl at the French Open in 1989 at the age of 17.
