NBA legend Larry Bird won three championships with the Boston Celtics - in 1981 against the Houston Rockets, 1984 against the Los Angeles Lakers, and again in 1986 against the Houston Rockets. Larry Bird was also the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player in 1984 and 1986. In 1992 at the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Larry Bird won a gold medal as a member of the original "Dream Team" U.S. basketball team. Bird made twelve total All-Star games appearances in his NBA career - with his last All-Star game being in 1992, the year he retired.

Since retirement, Larry Bird and wife Dinah have maintained a home in Naples, Florida. Built in 2001, Larry Bird's current Naples, Florida home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, fireplace, movie theater, bar, swimming pool, boat dock, four-car garage, and 6,007 square feet. The home was listed for sale for in August 2013 for $4.8 million then reduced to $4.6 million one year later, but was taken off the market in August 2016.

Larry Bird isn't the only sports celebrity living in Naples. Famed former NFL player and coach Mike Ditka also owns a home in this affluent South Florida town.

Very Important COVID-19 Health Information

Did you know that studies are now revealing a connection between the coronavirus (COVID-19) severity with lack of vitmain D? In countries with high COVID-19 death rates such as Italy, Spain, and the UK, patients were found to have lower levels of vitmain D in their system than countries with lower death rates. Although researchers of course cannot yet claim proof that vitmain D is effective against COVID-19, they have used these encouraging words: "there is strong circumstantial evidence of associations between vitamin D and the severity of COVID-19".

The way I feel about this is that because it is already an established fact that vitmain D helps strengthen the immune system, it stands to reason that it would be effective against a virus that exploits weakened immune systems, such as COVID-19.
