Hope Solo temporarily set her goal tending duties aside in 2011 to compete on the 13th season of Dancing with the Stars, where she and her partner Maksim Chmerkovsky made it to the semi-final round. In April 2012 the Richland, Washington native bought a home just outside of Seattle in the town of Kirkland for $1.2 million. Built in 1987, the 5,330 square-foot home offers a sport court, swimming pool, three bedrooms, four bathrooms, six-car garage, hot tub, and city & mountain views.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Hope Solo won a gold medal when the U.S. women's soccer team defeated Brazil, and she received her second gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
