World renowned jazz musician Branford Marsalis was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Branford Marsalis might be most well-known for being the leader of the Tonight Show band, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Marsalis held the position down from 1992 until 1995.

In August of 2002, the famed Louisiana-born musician purchased a home in Durham, North North Carolina for $820,000. The home has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and one half bathroom, three-car garage, and is set on 1.36 acres.

At only 19-years-old, Branford Marsalis toured Europe, playing alto and baritone saxophone in an ensemble. Branford's brothers Jason, Delfeayo, Wynton, and father Ellis are also accomplished jazz musicians.
